Pennington Recreation Club is the owner and custodian of Relton Hall.
Pennington Recreation Club was formed in 1953. Laurel Pennington donated a piece of land and a thatched roof clubhouse was built in 1961, which unfortunately burnt down in 1977. The Pennington community collected funds and built the current hall which was officially opened in June 1980.
Relton Hall is available for use by all the residents of Pennington. The various activities and functions provided by the Pennington Recreation Club generate the funds required for the running and maintenance of the facility.
We would like to extend an invitation to all the residents of Pennington to become members of the Recreation Club in order to preserve this valuable asset for future generations. We also invite volunteers in the community to arrange fundraising events at the hall, or make donations, to contribute to the much needed roof repair.
Membership forms can be obtained by sending an e-mail to [email protected]
Current membership fees are R100 per year.
